"The Borrower is the Slave to the Lender" When you borrow money that person is going to want that money back. If you borrow from a lot of people it is like you are working for nothing -which is what slaves do.
Why is co-signing never a good idea? Because those people who want the money have been stamped "unlikely to repay" by the bank, so they most likely won't pay you back either.
"Drive free method" It's when you don't have to make payments on your car. You can keep the money you would have been spending on it and you can upgrade later on - without the debt!
"15-year mortgage versus 30-year" You aren't paying the loan back for longer (which ends up being more). In the end you do pay it all back in 15 years and not 15 more years.
"Difference between debit card and credit card" A credit card uses money that you already have in the bank, while credit cards mean you will have a bill to pay off later.
Why does the credit industry want you to believe that you need a credit score? They keep you believing that you need that score and need to have debt because they make money off of the information it gives them.
For my career as an editor the typical requirements are: "A college education is required for most editing jobs. Although it is possible for someone who demonstrates strong writing and editorial skills to train on the job, a bachelor's degree in English, communications or journalism is often a prerequisite for one seeking to become an editor. Students in these programs generally receive instruction on composition, sentence structure and editing." (http://education-portal.com/how_to_become_an_editor.html)
Why are student loans considered "good debt"? They are called that because you are using that borrowed money to get an education, which will allow you to "easily" pay off that debt.
Has money affected your decision on whether or not to go to college? No, but it has limited where I am willing to go (public and community versus private).
What type of education will you need for the career you want? I will want at least an associates degree, but most likely a bachelors for the better position upon entering a publishing house.
Describe one way advertising has played a way in something you purchased? Now that it has been pointed out, I can see that it influenced my Christmas wish-list. For example I saw those headphones that "everyone's" using and wanted a pair. But, now that I think about it I don't really want or need a pair.
What are your favorite brands? Why do you like them? I like American Eagle jeans because they are long enough and have that "look". I like Covergirl products because it seems more natural looking.
